A note from the editor
Putting together this month’s issue, I am inspired by the growing band of bright and energetic artisans who have crafted their career around a lifestyle that suits them. Money is not the driver: it’s happiness and a sense of fulfilment that fuels these individuals. Self-taught brushmaker Rosa Harradine (right, page 50) is a shining example of this. Rosa uses hand-harvested hazel to create her colourful farmhouse brooms from her workshop in Carmarthen. Like many of her generation, Rosa finds joy in living a simpler, slower and more sustainable way of life, and one that is deeply connected with nature. Paul Lamb (page 100) is another artisan who has channelled his creative and entrepreneurial spirit into a more wholesome life rooted in nature.
